Celebrate Transit Month with Us!

TJPA INVITES YOU TO CELEBRATE TRANSIT MONTH AT SALESFORCE TRANSIT CENTER

The Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA), owner and operator of the Salesforce Transit Center and Rooftop Park, invites you to join in celebrating Bay Area Transit Month this September. This monthlong regional celebration highlights the vital role public transit plays in making the Bay Area more connected, accessible, and equitable.

In addition to the over 600 free events offered throughout the year, we will be celebrating Transit Month starting September 22 with the following activities for all ages below:

📅 Special Events at the Transit Center

• 🧒 Toddler Tuesday · 9/23 · 10–11am · Main Plaza
  Sing along with Blue Bear School of Music to classics like The Wheels on the Bus, Train to the City, and Cross the Street Together.
  📚 Family Storytime · 9/24 · 10–10:30am · Main Plaza
• A San Francisco Public Library librarian leads a lively storytime featuring books about buses and trains.
  🖊️ Writing Workshop · 9/24 · 12–1pm · Wetland Garden
• With instructor Gail Ford, explore how riding buses and trains can transport a writer’s heart and mind to new places.
  🚎 Pop-Up Transit Art Fair · 9/24 · 3–6pm · Grand Hall
• Celebrate Bay Area Transit Month at TJPA’s Salesforce Transit Center by exploring the future of transportation projects while shopping local Bay Area artists.
  🧒 Toddler Thursday · 9/25 · 10–10:45am · Main Plaza
• Join JAMaROO Kids for fun, transportation-themed sing-alongs every Thursday morning in September.
  🎵 Lunchbox Music · 9/26 · 12–1pm · Main Plaza
• Enjoy a special performance by singer Gaby Castro featuring Joni Mitchell’s 1970 hit “Big Yellow Taxi” in celebration of Transit Month.
